Sri Lanka Through the Lens of Art & Architecture: An Invitation to Travel Agents

At Mannankulam, we’re all about showing a different side of Sri Lanka—the side where art and architecture aren’t just backdrops, but the main event. That’s why we’ve teamed up with ARTRA Magazine—the go-to platform for Sri Lanka’s contemporary art scene. Since 2012, ARTRA’s been celebrating everything from visual and performance art to writing, design, and even food, helping build a thriving creative community across the island.

Together, we’re putting on a unique exhibition combining work by Artra’s emerging artists with our collection of primarily artists from Sri Lanka’s East Coast. But this isn’t just another art show—it’s a chance to experience what travel can feel like when it’s rooted in creativity and cultural depth.

Our four villas—ranging from charming colonial homes to breezy modern spaces—are more than places to stay. They’re immersive spaces where you can explore private art collections, join guided design walks, meet local creatives, and feel the pulse of Sri Lanka’s cultural heartbeat.

This is travel for the curious—the kind of experience today’s travellers are looking for. And for Sri Lankan travel agents, it’s a great opportunity to offer something fresh: meaningful journeys that go beyond the usual sights and dive into the island’s living, breathing culture.

We’d love for you to be part of this movement on 25th June at our Flower road villa. Let’s show the world a more inspired side of Sri Lanka—through art, architecture, and unforgettable creative encounters.
